Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri, a native of Karachi, founded JDC in 2009 alongside other like-minded young people from Karachi. JDC operates the largest Dastarkhuwans and disperses Zakat on a bigger scale throughout Ramadan. In addition, JDC provides for those in need to get free medical care. JDC has just begun opening schools for children. JDC also built a mortuary on its own property.

He said, “The reason behind young people leaving Pakistan is joblessness. What we see or hear is that people living abroad earning way better than Pakistan; they get paid 18 or 25 dollars per hour for working in gas stations or cleaning bathrooms, they work about 10 hours, giving them 50,000 Pakistani rupees per day; in Pakistan, a young person earns 50,000 per month; also, there are no jobs in Pakistan, so a young person today earns that much.” The video’s URL is provided below:
